Question for the IT/QA brehs. What’s the fastest way in?

I have free time during the day. I’m online on my computer running my personal biz.

I’m looking to get a remote gig paying $30-50 hour as another stream of income.

What’s the fastest way in?

A friend was telling me to to look into Quality Assurance and software testing. A couple of months of training online should get me the required certs.

Is this true?

I don’t have a college degree, I have heavy construction background but I can’t work in the field anymore.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't know about courses...I haven't been working the technical side for 10 years.

I'll leave it at that.

I will say...if you want to pursue the policy side (RMF)...follow this Breh (Bruce Brown).

convocourses.org. He's on YT and he posts jobs for entry level RMF/ISSO positions.

I've been working with his material for about 5 years now.

I have an opportunity to go to a specialized class a family friend went to for QA. It’s intense 3 mth course and then they provide job placement. She took it 3 years ago and is now making $150k hybrid. No degree. It cost 10k. Seems to me like you’re paying to get into a network more so than learn QA skills.

Anyone ever try this?
