No. If you wanna make it to the pros in hockey, you gotta play in the major junior system (OHL, WHL, QMJHL). College hockey in Canada is just a past time for students.

say word.down here in my college there's a bunch of golfers and tennis players that got scholarships from canada they tell me they college athletics get no funding no support nothing, figured it was the same up there as it is here

nope they don't, you can get bursaries and some scholarships from hs etc. to help cover but nope no scholarships.

for hockey its minor hockey at 15 then if you get drafted you go onto the ahl or nhl, if you dont get drafted from minor hockey, you can go to university or college and most of it is covered paid for, very few make it out there to the nhl, guys like joel ward have.

for other sports yeah right, a few guys have made it out of cis though - israel idonije is the biggest name hes with the bears

others are Cory Greenwood, Vaughn Martin and Jon Ryan, akiem knicks

For example Andrew wiggins the top guy in 2014 ran to the states. Will get a full fledge Scholly to like Kentucky or something

Not really, which IMO is stupid. I think must young guys just go pro if they're good enough, and I think in France and in Belgium there are special schools that combine sports and education. Sports is unfortunately not taken as seriously as in the US, whatever sport you do it will be next to school/university.
