Question about Police Dogs/Investigation Teams

Last night me an my friends were chillin outside at this park, an we heard screaming for like a minute, an it was gone. After hittin one last bowl we decided to go check it out. We were walkin around an as we were walking we started seeing all these dudes walking dogs. The dogs were all the same type, all really small an they had a lot of fluffy hair. An the dudes walkin the dogs all looked the same (were chubby middle aged white dudes, but they all looked official, like they were some freelance crime investigation team). An they all had flashlights too.

I was wondering, what/who could this group be? I was thinking it was a blood tracking unit. IDK but im really curious. Also it kinda sucks because im pretty sure someone got kidnapped or somethin, shyt sucks my neighborhood is usually really nice.

cause i was rly high an my parents were already mad af at me an i was kinda paranoid, shyt i thought they would stop us an take us in as suspects or somethin.

thats false, im a paramedic, i work a lot with police, atleast around here the agencies are still using primarily german shepherd

Well, they definitely weren't the police.
Police use bloodhounds or German Shepherds. Bloodhounds are better at tracking, but cost more. Most police departments don't have one, so there's no way there would be a pack of them. Since they weren't German Shepherds, then who knows what you were looking at.

Small dogs are not used by the police but by law enforcement agencies where they are used to sniff out illegal stuff (drugs or imported food) e.g. mail or luggage going through customs at an airport.

na they werent even in any real uniform, they were all wearing these dark colored shirts, idk if they had any symbols or words cus either i didnt see it or i dont remember, but also they were all wearing slacks, an idk they all looked extremely similar, i may have been tripping cause i think they were all the same person

If a police dog sniffs and barks at you and your property they have FULL right to search you and your shyt. It's how the law works. The dogs will catch your ass slipping far worse than any police can.
