In the modern world, what do you think are an immigrant's responsibility when it comes to being in their new country?

Do you support a law mandating they learn the language? Do you support giving welfare for new immigrants and maintaining this welfare even if they aren't citizens?

I don't think there should be a law perse, but I do think learning the language and having programs that encourage them to do so would help.

Welfare to new immigrants? No. However, I do think we should have programs that provide them with resources to aide them in whatever help they may need.

To me welfare should be for those in the process of becoming a citizen/resident of this country.

I am all about people coming to this country and actually desiring to take on the American way. If one comes here as an illegal- fine, but at least make becoming a legal citizen a priority.

I think their responsibility is abiding by our laws and doing as we do as Americans.

1. Be willing to work hard :troll:

2. Yes learning the official language of s country should be mandatory.

3. Yeah but they shouldn't be dependent on welfare all throughout their life, maybe 10-15 years. Maximum

4. I gotta think about this.....
