I know it hasn't been officially announced. But whenever a lead of a show on a Cable Pilot gets cast as a lead in another series, it means the show the lead was on is getting canned.

There was some behind the scenes drama behind Quarry for a long time while it was in development. I think it was a bit expensive to make and they weren't sure what to do with it. Wouldn't surprise me if it just winds up being a miniseries with a closed ending, which isn't the worst thing in the world.

You're exactly right. Quarry's pilot was shot over 2 years ago. They weren't sure if it would work. Guess Cinemax decided to cancel it early than take a risk. Which sucks. It's a really good show.

I could see a delayed season 2 to be honest.

I don't know. I hope it gets renewed because it's fukking great.

People get cast in pilots while still on other shows and sometimes even do both if one airs in the fall and the other in summer or whatever.
