I saw something where the homie Chauncey Billups was saying that big time FA point guards are not going to want to play for a structured offense like the triangle, they prefer the popular pick and roll basketball of today.

“I will tell you this about that triangle,’’ Billups said. “If I’m a top point guard and a free agent, I’m not going to want to be playing in that triangle. A point guard needs more pick-and-roll, more freedom. It’s going to be restrictive to my play. I think that would be a good thing — if they are opening it up a little. It’s the only way to get a point guard.’’
Given what we could be potentially looking at as far as a coaching hire, I wouldn't be too mad at that. Blatt was screwed in that he just happened to be the coach when LeBron decided to come home; that wasn't the team he had signed up to coach. He went to Princeton so I'd assume he would be smart enough to learn from his mistakes the first time around, and stop acting like he's an all time great coach just cause he got busy in Europe and realize the nba is a different animal.
I can't believe I support this.
i said we shoulda got rondo last seasonSidenote to everyone hating on the idea of Rondo...How much better than Rondo is Conley because dude is gonna command 20+ million dollars a season while Rondo is playing for 9.5 this season and his next contract will be at 30 years old. Last season I was saying to get him on a 1+1(that's one year plus an option second year) at 7-9 milli and I'd do something similar (with even a bit of a raise to fit the cap increases) over Conley for 4 years 25 mil. Look at the rest of the PG's available, it's not pretty. Rondo's extremely intelligent and creative, we could use that and the dude has a competitive fire that we really need in the locker room. We've got a lot of character guys but they're all good soldiers and Melo is a lead by example type, somebody that'll get in a player's face for being lazy would be useful. I think Joakim Noah's close to done, but for exception money (short term btw), I'd add him for the same reason. We need a guy or two who won't stand for the listless starts and long losing streaks.
But how the team lacks quality talent in comparison to the other teams in the league for the most part. It went well for a team that doesn't own it's pick develop the younger players.
The Talent in the NBA as a whole is watered down, I look at the teams in the east, I'm not impressed. Knicks went on a month stretch where they resembled the team from last year, that was the season killer.
One of the things I loved about this team before that stretch was they competed and we're competitive. I remember going into the GS game feeling like we really had a chance to win just off the fact the team was competing regardless of the competition.
Yeah we improved from last season as a whole,
But Was that improvement enough to intrigue FAs this off-season, thats why finishing the season strong is mad important
keep that bytch ass nikka away from this franchiseAnd in Knicks rumor for the day Dwight Howard is interested in joining the Knicks in free agency![]()

Howard Beck likes us signing Brandon Jennings and Kent Bazemore this summer. Sending Afflalo to the bench as 6th man. Wouldn't be mad at all at this.
