Wroten is a miscast gunner at the point. And never really proved himself a committed defender.

I can't help but feel like there are better options out there in the D-League. But oh well.

If Rambis stays I will be suspending what little passion I have left in being a Knicks fan until Phil bolts by the end of next season.

I don't care what nobody says; if Rambis staying is what Phil has in mind, I can't say I wouldn't be mad if Dolan stepped in and said :whoa: "I'm paying u 60 milly and you telling me ya masta plan is to bring THIS n1gga in with his .280 winning percentage to coach da squad?"

Any details on this new guy Wroten yall?

6'6 with some PG skills, but really an SG. He's 22 years old and really good at getting into the paint for finishes and kickouts. He averaged 17 ppg 5 apg and 3 rpg last year before he tore his ACL (baring in mind that the Sixers sucked so someone had to do numbers); then he rushed back this year since it's a contract season and he was AWFUL. Teams didn't take him because he was still in recovery from the injury and reports are he's still rehabbing so this is developmental for next season (like we did with Galloway and even Odom). He needs to work on his jumper, showed some signs of developing last season but was inconsistent AF. His defense was always light and his attacking style meant he was TO prone. The guy has a ton of room for growth though and should be looked at as another developmental guy. With someone like Frazier, you'd get a more NBA ready piece but with less upside (dude's an average athlete and barely 6 feet tall, he's good but how good he can be has a cap). Wroten can be a big PG, which Phil loves. He's a slashing attacker, which we need. And he's young plus cheap due to the knee injury; which means he's a low risk and high upside pick-up. He won't help us this season, but he could be ready to be a back-up by the start of next year and he's got enough size to fit flexibly into multiple backcourt sets. He'll improve athleticism and speed, but like Grant...consistent shooting and defense are gonna be key to him ever being more than a back-up. I think the triangle should mitigate some of his efficiency problems too, less chances to turn it over since the ball flows and surrounded by guys like Melo and KP; he'd have less onus to force shots.

I'll wait to see what Phil actually does, I'd be pretty upset if we have a shot at Walton and/or Thibs but go with Rambis. I'd even rather give Shaw a second chance instead of re-signing Rambis if it came to it.
Thibs, of mark Jackson. Walton last resort
Quite frankly, I'm not willing to roll the dice on another one of these role players that used to play in the triangle back in the day
Let's get some proven players. Let PHIL do his job

Walton is the only "triangle" dude that would have the fan base go :manny: at the very least. I've heard that he is highly thought of in coaching/executive circles, but then again, all these dudes were somewhat highly thought of at some point, otherwise they wouldn't get the job. The question is how much of an influence he's had in Golden State, and how much was autopilot, and what would happen when he comes over here and the talent level ain't the same.

Shaw/Rambis would cause a revolt, although I don't know if it's enough of a revolt to keep n1ggas from showing up to the Garden.

Honestly the only triangle member that I'd want to coach the team is Phil, and we know that ain't happening.

Eh I don't know if I'd want Phil at this point honestly :francis:I'd prefer someone who is openminded enough to know how fast the game is played now and can adapt their system to their personnel
