I want the truth.
After seeing some drawings and reading descriptions from outsiders on the pre-cac state of the continent I'm curious.
I never once believed my ancestral homelands were nothing but straw and dookie huts built the same way regardless of differing weather, geographical or trade influence.
Ancient Benin drawings are.
But they couldn't have been the only West Africans building on such a scale with such strength, structure, and societal complexity. What came before?
I refuse to believe African architecture started in the 15th century with some ugly french or portuguese made eyesore that was built with no resistance from the nearby peoples.
Tell me about the others
