I hope this wasn't the Rock at his best because that was Cena at his worst.

Man that was one of them moments. You know? Something you don't expect. Punk did what Cena couldn't do in the span of months. He made this feud legit with a single line.
Problem with Rock these days is instead of delivering ether he seems more concerned with having catchphrases trend on twitter.

Punk didn't body him. He had nothing that really hit hard. Cena dropped much bigger bombs last year. He just clowned his "schtick" (a Cena angle), said he'd kick his ass and said the box with god line.
Rock started out pretty good - went right into the promo before the audience pandering and the intensity made for a good promo. But when he finished with that candy ass tattoo setup, I was like

Punk cut the best promo i heard since that summer in 2011... the rock embarassed himself with the cookiepuss shet... but it wasnt as cringeworthy as the shet he did with cena...

Punk didn't eat him alive, not even close, but it did expose him. Again. Because Cena did it last year. When you no sell Rock's shtick it seems to throw him off and he finishes poorly, like he did this time. But what Punk did differently was put himself over and not use self depreciation like Cena did. That's why that whole "Rock is just doing XYZ to make Cena look good," bullshyt never stuck with me. Rock NEVER took it easy on Cena and Cena never played himself up. Who knows what might have happened if Cena cut a promo on the Rock like he did Ziggler last week.
