Yeah I'm nervous as fukk. I just did a 15 minute yoga session but still. I'm torn up. I almost threw up before the yoga.

Just remember its not a big deal and most of them probably wont be listening to you anyway. After you start you'll realise it aint even that bad.

I took public speaking classes a few years back coz it was a fear of mine, only way to overcome these fears is to jump straight in.

take some deep breaths and remember to breathe up on stage, bring some notes with you but nothing too extensive, dont try to hurry through it. if you mess up just say "excuse me" and correct yourself and keep it movin. you gotta remember probably know one even cares what you are saying and they aren't gonna be heavily judging you for every word that comes out of your mouth. keep it short too.

Laugh about it to yourself. Go in the mirror and fake smile for a while. It will loosen you up. Lie to yourself like its not a big deal. It's 2 hours of your life but in the long run it will seem like 5 mins. Once you get 5-10 mins in you will be okay. YOU own that crowd.

Also allow yourself freedom to be yourself and freestyle. If you know what your talking about rely on your own words to connect with the audience. Don't worry about word for word memorization. They are more impressed and it's a lot easier when it's YOU talking and power point back you up vs you reading power point. If that's a factor.

THEY are there to see YOU because what YOU have to say is IMPORTANT. THEY are under your control as you talk, and YOU have the power to convey the message you would like to. They do NOT know what you are supposed to say, so it is IMPOSSIBLE to make a mistake.

There is no 'good luck' because there no LUCK. Only skill and blessing...and you HAVE THE SKILL because you have prepared for it.

YOU are the speaker.

THEY are your audience.

YOU are in control.

just do that sheeet. everybody else in there is nervous too. just watch them and see theyre doing a decent job and know that youre doing a decent job in their eyes too

shyt had me torn up until I got into the main room. Backstage I was freaking the fukk out but I ended up getting weirdly calm once I got up to the mic. It went well.
