It’s annoying, but they gotta get boxes in ppl cribs before they let it go. Last gen always hangs on longer than it probably should tech-wise because that’s where the install base still is. shyt is already outdated by the time it hits the shelves, so by the time the next gen is out, that mf is ancient

because when devs have to make ps4 + ps5 versions of games, they typically don't get the most out of the extra horsepower the ps5 has, often resulting in a ps4.5 type experience, as opposed to a full-fledged next-gen experience. I don't agree with OP, but I certainly understand.

FOH, I'm playing Elden Ring on PS4 now

When Sony can produce enough PS5s that I can go to the store and buy one without paying $1000 then PS4 can die, until then it'd be stupid to stop making games for it. There's an entire contingent of people who would like and can afford a PS5, but can't get one due to low supply. Not making games for that user base would be stupid.
