When I first saw this on Bluesky I went to Congress.gov since I was sure it was an Onion headline.
Nope, here it is: H.R. 1161
H.R.1161 - To authorize the President to enter into negotiations to acquire Greenland and to rename Greenland as "Red, White, and Blueland".
Of course it is some idiot from a largely red constituency - Earl Carter from GA - but his 1st congressional district includes Savannah and Brunswick so it ain't completely hick
