If you were a FB coach which one would you stress more to your team? I was thinking about USC/Oregon vs LSU/BAMA Defense and it came to my mins. As much as i love a great offense, id much rather have my team be elite defensively whooping nikkas asses and forcing turnovers than scoring 40-50 points a game.

Depends on the sport and just how bad the other side of the ball is. In football I'd prever a dominant defense/average offense over a dominant offense/average defense. BUT a dominant offense/horrible offense over a dominant defense/horrible offense.

since 2000, no team with a statistically better high powered offense and a worse defense than their opponent has won a bcs title game. the only team period who won with a better offense and worse defense statistically was 2007 lsu (26th offense nationally) and everybody would agree that 2007 ohio state were frauds.
