I just want to know how much the reviews will be impacted because of the conversation around the game rather than the game

I’m not expecting a lot of reviewers to give the game a fair shake. So its likely gonna swim in 6’s and 7’s

So goofy so many of you have already posioned the well. You've crafted a scenario in your head that every review score that is lower than x is because of the conversation of the game and wouldn't possibly be because of any of the shortcomings of the game. Its so goofy.

It's funny how so many gaming sites in their heavy Nier Automata comparison making the mistake to call Eve an android and/or that this game is of the android girl sub-genre. She's human tho.

83 is definitely what I had in mind when I played the demo. It was great to me. I'll wait for a sale though as I'm still balls deep in Rebirth(67 hours in chp 11.) and I bought P3 Reload a month ago and haven't started it. I'll probably cop this sometime in May/early June(but damn SMT V comes out :mindblown:)

Stellar Blade PS5 - Digital Foundry Tech Review - An Ultra-Polished Action Game

Quick summary
  • Made in Unreal Engine 4, uses all the typical UE4 features, no RT
  • Shows good restraint to maintain image quality and performance
  • HDR support, but doesn't use PS5 system level calibration
  • "Extremely smooth", no loading stutter unlike other UE4 games like Jedi Survivor
  • Loading times of a few seconds
  • 3 graphics modes
    • Quality is mostly native 4K 30FPS, with dynamic res drops sometimes
    • Performance 1440p 60FPS, with dynamic res drops sometimes
    • Balanced is 1080p-1440p 60FPS, but with upscaling to 4K.
  • Framerate in performance mode is basically perfect 60FPS, quality properly frame-paced 30FPS, balanced runs in 50-60FPS and is a great fit for VRR displays.

"The final product is a cohesive experience that harkens back to a time when Sony Computer Entertainment would publish games across a wide range of genres. The PlayStation and PlayStation 2 era were packed with 1st party published games developed by partner studios that played in so many genres and themes, that's exactly where Stellar Blade sits. In a sense it feels like a game from 2003 using modern technology and design elements, it's not another sequel or remaster nor are the Dads contained within sad, it's just a goshed darn enjoyable video game."
