It depends how you're flipping it


If you're just looping, then do the sample first

If you're chopping sometimes I like to do the drums (I normally will just put any drums, then beef them up later) more often than not tho, it's the sample first.

Yup but a lot of times, I'm playing with samples I switch it up....I might realize I like it slower later....

I don't think I've ever laid drums first, regardless of whether it was a sampled or non-sampled beat.
