i ain't got no link to this classic album but i'm listenin' to the cd right now for old time's sake and just had to make a thread for it

this is easily my favorite prince album after purple rain, around the world in a day comes in 3rd place behind the both of these classics. but there no weak tracks on this album, none whatsoever :whoo:

1999 = classic party/dance jam:stylin:
little red corvette = magical, classic. the way way prince started his verse off :ohhh:it's prince's best song aside from "the beautiful ones" imo :myman:

delirious = excellent throwback to the days of rockabilly tracks :lawd:

let's pretend we're married = excellent, the anticipation of the song from the first few seconds of the song alone nothin' short of amazin'. genius :win:
dance music sex romance = brilliant :banderas:
automatic = the way this song sounds is just brilliant, it's like an unofficial dance jam :obama:

something in the water (does not compute) = underrated gem, i love how the drum track sounds so quirky at the beginnin' of it :whew:
free = beautiful gospel-esque song, got vanity singin' background vocals on it :ohlawd:

lady cab driver = that 80's funk :whew:

all the critics love u in new york = great :salute:

international lover = classic ballad :damn::wow:

classic album from start to finish :mjcry:

I've always felt this was his best album. 1999, Purple Rain, Sign O the Times are the holy trinity of Prince classics. Most people would probably put 1999 at #3. It's #1 to me.

I don't care much for Delirious, but every song up there is near flawless. I love Lady Cab Driver. And International Lover is a top 5 Prince slow joint.
