don't nobody have a cheaper flight...and they charge a fee for their 'service'. Unless its a holiday, SEA to DTW is $377 everywhere, including on delta's website...what a crock...i've noticed this over the years..they aren't saving you a penny over the actual airline company...

and LOL @ signing up for hotels with no name that are 'close to destination' with an arbitrary star rating. Enjoy the Mariott next to the airport :scusthov:

For flights:
- Use those sites to gather rates from different airlines all at once then book through the airline itself. The price is the same (or cheaper) and if something goes wrong, it's better to have purchased directly from the airline. Also, many airlines have free sky mile programs you'll want to get credit for.
- only time those sites may be useful for, is last minute deals. Sometimes airlines will sell blocks to them at a discounted rate and they'll pass a portion of that discount on to you, so it'll be cheaper than going through the airline directly.

For hotels
- Many times (not always) those sites ARE cheaper than the hotel itself, so I'd def recommend going through those sites. Check the hotel site to make sure it's cheaper tho, cuz if it's equal you're better off going through the hotel directly
- those "name your price" and "hotwire"/"express" deals are great for cities and trips where you don't need to stay in a specific hotel...you can see significant savings there. By searching regularly, you can narrow down and view which hotels they might send you to in order to make sure it meets your approval. So if you end up at some hotel way out the way that doesn't meet your standards then YOU fukked up. :ufdup:

This is especially true. They had an undercover show where a couple gets a Groupon deal and when checking in, someone just walks up to the counter and asks for a room quote and gets a cheaper rate....for a larger room.....
Combination of :upsetfavre::what::merchant::why::to: ensued.

They are usually good on hotels. If its the same price the Hotwire deal sometimes comes with free parking, wifi, and breakfast.
