Presidential Term Suggestion

Im not one to care about politics and argue back and forth. One thing I never understood was the term limits. Wouldnt it be better to change term limits to 8 years instead of 4? A president can barely do anything in 4 years,because he is more worried about re-election then the present.8 years can change alot.Look how Bush Jr messed the country up in 8 years.2000 started off as good times and by 2008,recession,war,economy. However an automatic 8 year term,people who be careful who they choose as president,party views.More people will come to the polls.Lets face it alot of people may stay home this election. Also A one-term president is rare these days ( Carter,Bush Sr) might as well change it right?

4 or 5 years is good but I don't think there should be a 2 term Limit! Service Limits rob the nation of its greatest minds in their primes... The American Public should be trusted to know when its time to move in a new direction and recycle the process. FDR won 4 times for a reason!

If they're limited to 2 terms, then 6 years is good.

If they keep 4 years per term, then there shouldn't be a term limit.

EDIT: Well maybe a limit for THREE terms. 12 years is enough for anybody.

Im saying one 4 year term isnt enough to do anything. If you give a president 8 years...he can do alot and people will be TWICE as smarter. Shoot people dont vote now,so anybody can get in office and screw up. 3 Terms is too many tho.
