Just started getting on the premaking meals for the week wave. Gonna start with chicken breasts, spinach/broccoli, and brown rice/sweet potatoe combos.

Cook it all on Sunday and portion it out for lunch each week. Took me some time today but im sure it will get quicker. Trying to get away from the processed lunches I was eating before.

For me it has to be easy to prepare for me to keep up on this, feel free post your meals and/or tips for premaking healthy lunches, breakfast or dinners.

It's always a good look to prep for the week. You save money, time, stay on track diet-wise and you don't waste food.

I've tried to curb my sugar cravings by drinking smoothies (still sugar, I know). But for the weeks when I drink them I prep for the week. I cut up the fruit, measure it, and freeze it in sandwich bags so I can just throw it in the blender and leave the crib

Use mostly vegetables and just add enough fruit to make it tasty to you.

I'm usually on this wave but I've fallen off a bit due to work and poor scheduling on my part.

I think you have the right idea here. I will say it may be better to cook for Mon-Wed, then do a mini cook session on Wednesday to make sure you're food is still fresh.

For the winter months you can't go wrong with some chilli. Breakfast should be relatively straight forward. Some boiled eggs, maybe oats with almonds and a banana. If you work a corporate job I suggest a salad with chicken breasts or thighs (you don't want something too heavy as you're at a desk all day). Sweet potatoes make for really good complex carbs loaded with protein.

The challenge is having enough groceries for the week without going overboard. Veggies spoil quickly so you'll want to make sure you cook them quickly or buy in small quantities.

It's take you a few tries to where you can cook enough to last you till Friday but not too much that you feel obligated to carry food till the next week.

I make a big ass chili wit a lot of vegetables and just make a carb on the side (whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, quinoa) and just eat it for 4-5 days
Chili really is a blank slate. You can put anything in that bih and it'll be healthy, flavorful & filling
You do get meal fatigue eating something often but that don't really matter to me. I'm getting good carbs, protein & vegetables for cheap

For breakfast I switch up between eggs or oatmeal or a shake or both. I'm hollywood tho and like to fry my eggs in coconut oil in the morning so I don't meal prep my breakfasts'

Yeah I’m wondering how these meals will hold up come Thursday or Friday, but we’ll see. I already got some left overs that I’m wondering what to do with but I think it will come easier as I do this more and more.

Yeah that food fatigue is what I’m afraid of but gotta look at is as fuel. That breakfast shake is what I’m looking for, figuring a good way to make the whole deal for the weak so I don’t have to blend and clean every day, but today’s premade meal was a good start. Felt good all day and didn’t snack as much.

Some foods hold up better than other. Chilli I find does well for days on end, especially if you cook it in a slow cooker.

Broccoli, Squash and softer veggies; not so much. Just keep practicing.

Food fatigue does happen. Like you said, look at food as fuel. Maybe allow yourself Friday lunch to eat out and then cook different foods for the weekends. Always switch up your recipies every week.

Any ideas for deli meats :dame: alternatives. I usually make turkey or buffalo chicken sandwiches to eat at work but apparently cold cuts will give you cancer :beli:

That’s why I started the switch. Used to
Always eat deli meat sandwiches and that stuff can’t be good. I also wanted to get more greens in my diet. We’ll see if I lose a few pounds with this approach.

I'm thinking of going canned tuna/salmon sandwiches but they are bland without onions, but can't have my breath kicking at work either

Deli meat sandwiches with swiss and provolone cheese for two years straight definitely can't be good :picard:
