Got into a long discussion with my boy about Reggie White and we talked about this dude being the only player to routinely abuse Reggie like a child.

I mean...he'd grab Reggie and would head butt him to his knees....the club never worked on him.

If he didnt get into that car accident where he came back half the player he was....he would have been John Hannah/Munoz status.

i've heard a packers scout say he was the only player reggie white feared to play. erik used to put his fist right into reggie's throat, gauge his eyes, dive at his knees from his blindside and leg whip the shyt out of him. big E was on his way to the HOF before the accident.

Broaddus: Erik Williams vs Reggie White | DCFanatic's Blog

I remember White on the sideline talking about how Williams on the opening play hit him in his throat with his fist, or take his thumb and poke White in the eye blurring his vision. I had never seen a player leg whip Reggie or dive in the back of his legs like Williams did. Williams was able to reduce one of the greatest rushers of all time into a non-factor in the game.

:krs:

Man.....it was bad. And John Madden didn't give a fukk. He loved o lineman....He'd replay Erik pounding on Reggie. Circle that shyt on the telestrator....slow mo replay and shyt....

madden: "look at what he does to Reggie here!!! WHAP!!!! **slow mo of Erik head butting Reggie to one knee**

Man....that's who Strahan learned from. Everything was easy for him after dealing with that monster.

They had to change the rules b/c of Big E.

The Erik Williams Rule

NFL helmet rules also prohibit offensive linemen from taking their hands and thrusting them up into the face mask of a defensive player's helmet. The rule, named for the former Dallas Cowboys tackle who perfected the technique, was established in 1997.

now we have doug free. :to:

Sports of The Times; The Rev. Reggie White Delivers a Sermon on the Block in Texas - New York Times

THE man known as "the Minister" was preaching fire and brimstone, loud and clear. And in his sermon, Reggie White was hoping that the National Football League was listening, loud and clear, in its Park Avenue offices.

"I'm ticked off," the Packer defensive end and ordained minister growled in his hoarse voice. "We got a player whose knee is torn up, but the league will not do anything about illegal chop blocks."

The Minister was alluding to John Jurkovic, the nose tackle who hobbled out of the locker room with a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee. He is likely to need surgery after having been leveled by Erik Williams, the Cowboys' huge offensive tackle.

"I got a scratch under my eye; I got punched in the face," the Minister continued, touching his left cheek, "but I got an official telling me I'm whining too much."

In a beige suit that surrounded his 300 pounds, Reggie White was sitting on a chair in front of several microphones across the hall from the Packer locker room. He had time to cool off after the Packers' 38-27 loss to the Cowboys in the National Football Conference championship game, but he was still hot.

williams after the wreck..that cast had him knockin heads off...once he got caught usin it..he fell off..

Cat was clubbing fools Owen Hart style.:lolbron:

But in all seriousness, while this cat was prolly on his way to greatness and has 3 rings to vouch for this, I'd still take A. Munoz and Walter Jones at my 2 tackle spots. I think Jones was only called for like 5 holding penalties in his entire career. :krs:
