So how did you do it? Just looked up the list on whosampled and searched each song and added one at a time?
Same, im constantly making themed playlists on streaming and currently working on a bunch of 30 year anniversary compilations of 1995 albums (my favorite year in hip hop) comprised of features, b-sides, unreleased etc of the same timeframe, a lot of stuff thats not on DSP's.
I doubt its Shante cause that dropped in 89, could be MC Shy D but the album its from was recorded in 88 so im kinda leaning towards Audio Two because recording for that album began in 86, but it coulda been one of the last songs recorded for the album because recording for the album didn't end til 88 either. Somebody @Mr.Biggs and ask him who the first person he cleared it for.

Nah that Shy D album came out summer 1987
That Shante song was also from 87 her first album had mad old songs on it that didn't get officially released until 1989
Jae Supreme who sold the song to Shante said he did it in 86 or 87
First was either Audio Two (if they did it in 86) or Jae Supreme I suppose
