There is only one month left of the year
With all the ups and downs from all of the promotions, there are still some great moments due to some awesome ass wrestlers. Like even if wrestling isn't considered cool anymore, even if promotions like WWE can kill your spirit; the talent out there is underrated yo. I don't care if we acknowledge the talent heavy. Ten years from now we are going to be like holy shyt look at that roster and all these matches we have to watch whenever.
Post your top 5 favorite wrestlers who YOU personally enjoyed and why.
Here's mine:
5. Kazuchika Okada- Dude will probably be in my top five every year until he retires. I can remember watching the first Okada vs Kenny match (my first njpw event ever) for Kenny and coming out becoming a Okada stan. Dude is Mike Trout of wrestling in my opinion.
4. Chris Jericho - His wrestling really hasn't blown me away this year. The age is catching up with him and it's probably only going to get worse as time goes on. But what he lacks in wrestling ability, he makes up for it in every other category. Dude has lived sports entertainment so much he has become it.
3. Brock Lesnar - I already made a thread declaring he's top ten of all time imo. Brock has that main event feel to him no matter who tries to deny it. Always in fukkery in the ring or outside with rumors, news, and contract info. Dude doesn't have to wrestle his ass off to tell a great story in the ring. Dude is just naturally built for big time shyt. He's the champion of making the most out of a match that is limited, based on his size and character, and always making it memorable for the ages. Brock vs Rey is prime example.
2. Kofi Kingston- Legendary run that we didn't see happening. That build up to Wrestlemania, and the match itself gets me teary-eyed whenever I think about it. Probably one of the best Wrestlamania moments ever. His title defense run wasn't all that but it was still a fun ride to watch with a few decent matches. He's tag champion right now; people would rather have him still in the main event scene, I think he will get his shine at the top spot again real soon.
1. Daniel Bryan- What can I say? It could be the main event, tag team scene, random rivalry, or mid card champion-- I'm still heavily invested in what he does. He's mastered the art of professional wrestling. Bryan is specifically who I'm talking about when I mention this is all underrated. One day Daniel Bryan will retire on his own decision and we will look back and be like "I really had it fukking made even if WWE sucks." Wrestling isn't easy. Impressing us isn't either. Daniel Bryan makes it look like anyone could do it. All Time goat talent that I have enjoyed all year; from being the villain in Kofi's arc to being apart of that Roman storyline to now being a babyface again and dealing with the fiend. It's just been a fun journey.
What about you guys?
