Awesome post. I instantly recognised that it's the beat in Lyrical Gangbang off The Chronic... had no idea Dre sampled that one too!

Man some of this stuff I haven't heard in years, like the edge of my memory, my older brother had some of these records.

I don't know if this counts as underrated but the Dazz Band really helped set the stage for late 70's/80's funk and they don't too much burn but they were dope.
