My biggest ones are
1) The inability to grasp the pivotal role of the supreme court in US politics, they literally just shut down a slew of legislation and cases such as
student loan forgiveness, affirmative action, key aspect of VRA,Roe v wade etc
Yes even when democrat controlled the 2 of 3 branches (executive and legislative) you still have to get through the conservative/maga controlled supreme court. There are 3 branches of goverment people, gov't isn't just the president
2) similar to point 1, democrat control senate right now but you need 60 votes to break the filibuster and we only had 51 majority (49 now that sinema and manchin have gone independent) and even then, you still need to get any bill pass the house which is maga controlled
3) "Withholding my vote is a sound political strategy" Ask women who witheld their vote in 2016 how that's working out for them considering Hilary losing gave conservatives
strong control of the supreme court which nuked roe v wade and the problem for black folks who believe in this strategy is there may be no party to vote for in the future if trump gets in and inplements his project 2025 (please read his manifesto people)
