My biggest ones are

1) The inability to grasp the pivotal role of the supreme court in US politics, they literally just shut down a slew of legislation and cases such as
student loan forgiveness, affirmative action, key aspect of VRA,Roe v wade etc

Yes even when democrat controlled the 2 of 3 branches (executive and legislative) you still have to get through the conservative/maga controlled supreme court. There are 3 branches of goverment people, gov't isn't just the president

2) similar to point 1, democrat control senate right now but you need 60 votes to break the filibuster and we only had 51 majority (49 now that sinema and manchin have gone independent) and even then, you still need to get any bill pass the house which is maga controlled

3) "Withholding my vote is a sound political strategy" Ask women who witheld their vote in 2016 how that's working out for them considering Hilary losing gave conservatives
strong control of the supreme court which nuked roe v wade and the problem for black folks who believe in this strategy is there may be no party to vote for in the future if trump gets in and inplements his project 2025 (please read his manifesto people)

1. I usually start ignoring all kind of nikkas when they start blaming Biden for roe vs wade, student loan forgiveness, the economy…oh oh biden fukked us up with the student loan,, oh oh biden got this economy fukked up but these same nikkas refused to look for work and believed they should automatically make 45/50k a year

2. I hate listening to white people when they start speaking about how trump going to fix the border crisis, how trump going to turn around the economy…… when u bring up that trump had 4 years in office and promise to have Mexico build the wall and the fact trump knew about covid 3 months ahead of time but didn’t do shyt,, they all quietly excused themselves from the conversation

A lot of my boys from where I grew up have strong opinions on politics, but don't understand the basics. lot of women I know who don't have a college education and some who do.

and I don't mean that in a partisan way, but like they don't know the difference between the state and local government, or the local and federal government. They don't know how congress works. They don't know how the Supreme Court works, or what it is. They don't know like Justice Department or US Attorrney Roles, or whatever. They don' really know how the Presidency works. or what a president does. or what his staff does.

and it's better to just engage on some minor level, then argue, because you aren't even starting from a similar place. and I don't know EVERYTHING but I do know a lot more than many. Maybe 10 years ago I would try to show off all my knowledge and explain, but now I just laugh it off.

Facts

on point one, target, wa;greens and other big supermarket chains just busted the "Biden inflation" myth by slashing prices of their product proving
what many economist have already suspected that these companies delibrate price gouging is what led to the artificial inflation that we have been seeing

To add to point 2, republicans-following on Trump's instruction-are the ones blocking bills to tackle the "!border crisis"

8 years later and trump has no healthcare plan that he claimed would be better than obamacare.

The belief any criticism of Democrats or Biden means you support Republicans and Trump.

It depends on the criticism, is it valid criticism like Gaza, being beholden to Israel/AIPAC and other big donors, hostility towards the left wing of the party etc

Or is it ridiculous "criticism" like they are responsible for "gas prices, inflation, student loan, roe v wade, reparatiiiionnnnnssss yes indeed family

That people are stupid and uninformed and believe everything they read on the internet without checking it to make sure it's truth when it's such a simple thing to do. Type it into google and find a reputable news site that backs it up.

And that people are so stupid that they say don't vote as if that's gonna make a change when it's literally just the opposite.

whining without critical thinking. example "why didn't bye-den do something about the housing market before 2023 :damn::skip:"
meanwhile stats show that housing prices were on a steady decrease during the period in question :dead:

example 2: native americans get reparations :damn: something something casinos and tax free! :damn:! meanwhile it's a fact that native americans don't get reparations and have to pay income taxes like everyone else.

then when you correct them, they refuse to accept it or move goalpost like they actually WANT to be a victim :beli:

there is no point in discussing at this point.

-The lack of understanding of the three branches of government.
-False equivalencies
-Purity test nonsense
-Saying ridiculous things that shows they aren't even paying attention to what's going on. They are solely acting on feelings, nothing fact based.
-Dismissing facts in favor of feelings because saying a bunch of stupid shyt makes you feel good.
