[Pokemon Day!] Pokemon turns 28 today, what was y’all’s favorite gen/game?

I was around 11 when Pokemon fever hit me . Red/blue had already been out for a while, I think moms bought me blue in Christmas of 99.

I got yellow shortly after and was when pikachu could follow you around like the show.

But ngl nothing hit quite like gold and silver.

shyt felt truly next level.

Johto and kanto regions in on game.
Day/night cycles
100 new Pokemon
Pokemon breeding
New types

And other shyt I’m prolly forgetting.

Game had me hooked and held me down when I couldn’t get the ps2 in the first couple of years in its release.

Yeah gold definitely was special. I actually started replaying it on my gameboy during the covid lockdown.
