seems like the discount is only for new members, or existing members that are upgrading their service

edit: I guess if you let it expire, you can then get the new member deal

Theoretically, I would say it works like this: your subscription expires, or you renew if you have the cheapest PS+ option (Essential). If you're in the listed time period (5/29-6/12), you should then (again, theoretically) be able to upgrade to Extra (25% off)/Premium (30% off) for the discount.

I'm not sure how much that upgrade would cost, but Essential is $80, so I would assume going from day 1, they would charge you $55 to go from Essential to Extra, and 25% off of that $55 is around $14 so that's 80 + 40 = $120. Which while technically a deal, it's not huge smh. If it was 25% off the full Extra price, it would be around $100. So still nickel and diming us.
