yeah, I heard they only got 5 characters tho. I hope when they put the US beta back up it has a few more characters and features

Someone clue me into the hype with this game. I read a lot of people raving about it but I don't see what the big deal is.

Is there more to it than four people beating each other up for a couple minutes? Do they big creatures in the background mean/do anything? Is there a uniqueness to each level or are they just there for vertical combat?

It's a fighting game. All the stages are mash-ups of different Sony franchises. Their some interaction with the stages usually given or taking away xp from characters
