You can type "something something ya bytch, something something shyt, something something my dikk, something something its lit" into a Text to Speech site over and over with a high pitch voice preset and some avant garde instrumental in the background to recreate this album :lolbron:

Some of these new lil weirdo guys can still rap to a beat, even if it ain't lyrical and that's fine. This guy really has NO skillset at all :dead:

nikkas expecting big L type bars on a carti album

this is an album for fun shyt and turn up, summertime is going to be lit :wow:

It ain’t even bout the bars. This shyt just repetitive and corny. Easily the most uninteresting music that he’s ever dropped. The loose tracks before he dropped his first album showed potential of him at least being unique, maybe it was Mexicodro and his last album was weak but at least had a few tracks a nikka might revisit. This shyt here is just terrible. Easily the worst release of the year so far

This tape is weak. Everything's undercooked, and that's saying a lot coming from Mr Undercooked Carti.

The production is lackluster. There isn't a single great beat. Beats aren't as developed and infectious as the stuff on the previous tape. Pierre Bourne falling off already :snoop:

Vocally, Playboi sounding weak. Carti coasted on his previous mixtape with pure energy and charm. He has a decent rap voice which seems to have gotten worse.

The best hook and overall song is "Love Hurts". Shawty want a rockstaaaaaar ah :ahh: :whew: But even that song is nowhere as good as wokeuplikethis, Location, Magnolia, Lookin and New Choppa.

"Shoota" is one of the highlights but it's drumless for most of the song. When the beat actually drops, it's standard Pierre Bourne but it knocks. I'd give this higher points if it wasn't so drumless. The song "R.I.P" slaps the most on the entire tape but the main melody is meh.

I agree. His voice was the most noticeable dip in quality. Outside of Pierre's production on Self-Titled, I couldn't find too many great beats from him. This year has worse projects than 2017, or even 2016 :mjcry:

Where would this project stand in best projects of 2018? For me it's probably AOTY, but it's only because the other albums I've heard this year are worse. I'm hoping Drake and Rocky can save this year.

You can't turn around your style and act like you like good music now Toshi. There's years of posts of you shytting on Kenny, Cole, Drake. Jigga, Ye. Future and anybody who has made a mark.

I feel like this year gonna be worse than 2014 :jbhmm:But do you really think 2015 is worse than 2014? IMO that's the worst year ever. I only remember 0-100 and Multiply for 2014. 2015 for me at least had Know Yourself, LPFJ 2, 10 Bands, Jumpman, Big Rings, I Serve the Base, and Back to Back.

2015 > 2016 > 2014 = 2017

This was my top 10 of 2014. I think some of these tracks still hold up:

10. Rae Sremmurd - No Flex Zone

If I gotta hear 'turn-up' music, at least this one has more active drumming. Now that I got that out of the way....

9. Tink - Around the Clock

I'm curious to see what Timbaland's protege will bring to the table. Is this Timbaland beat a sign that he's gearing up for another run?

8. Astro - Just Dreamin

super pleasant beat. relaxing but still got that pulse. courtesy of Boi-1da.

7. Drake - 0 to 100

I find reasons to hate on Drake but he makes my list every year. If he releases another street banger, I'm gonna have to agree with my brother who consistently says: "Drake runs this rap shyt!"

This beat is filthy! It's like sonar for clubs.

6. ASAP Rocky - Multiply

I picked this over 0 to 100 even though 0 to 100 is a better beat melodically and just a better song overall. Multiply bangs harder though.

5. Lil B - I Got Bi$%*es 2014

This song is f*cking hilarious! Killer beat! This is a better turn-up record than 98% of club turn-up stuff right now. I love how this video is about a guy who proclaims he has bytches but there isn't a single woman in the video. And as usual, the Youtube comments are hilarious.

"I'm cocky and famous / I'm pretty and ignorant!" Like all things Lil B, you can't judge dude's music at face value. It's a very elaborate joke on how absurd and lowest-common-denominator hip hop has become. Is the trolling getting old? That's debatable.

4. Diamond D ft Pete Rock - Only Way 2 Go

"It's only right to want the best outta life!"

3. Havoc - What I Rep

ugh! this shyt is a headrush! I love that grimy shyt! Instant reminder that Prodigy is one of my favorite rappers of the 90s. Something about his voice....

2. Ghostface Killah ft AZ & Rell - Here I Go Again

I love this beat! What's kinda sad is that Ghostface and AZ don't sound great on it. But it's such a soulful tune. It's like a Jackson 5 record. And Rell kills it on the chorus.

1. OB OBrien ft Drake - Steve Nash

I think this is the best hip hop track I've heard all year. Still. The song has a ton of personality. The beat's fire, the vocal delivery is great, the rhymes are simple but witty and it's just a fun song.

My Pops Forever RIP
Code for garbage. His last project had some heat but I cant give a pass for not trying.
You a hater.

When you play this right after elementary school kids come back from recess still high off a sugar rush and you’re ready to quit your job right then and there, this shyt goes.
