DJ Paul one of the most influential & impactful artists today when it comes to the modern day sonic landscape of rap music ...was himself influenced by K-Rino & his group? :leon:

Seems there isn't a down south rap legend alive that K-Rino and the SPC didn't influence .

@The Ruler 09 :win:

Who were some of the other artists that site SPC and K-Rino as an influence?

Fill up a box full of pieces of paper with the name's of southern rap legends and just randomly dig in and pick a name at random...there's your answer :wow:

Everybody from UGK to 3-6 Mafia to Killer Mike to Z-Ro

Even outside the South...Canibus...all the way down to Drake as we just found out :wow:

Paul always bigged up SPC, he even put Point Blank on that "Bodyparts" posse song from the first Mafia 6ix tape and he ain't never appeared on a Prophet/HCP release before that.

If you look closely on the inside of the tape cover of mystic styles...they list ganksta nip in the "thanks" portion

They also opened up for nip early in their career in Memphis before they really got on around 91-92ish

Damn shame they didn't link up around their primes...NIP & blank coulda used them paul & j beats after both of their 1st albums.
