we should remove plastic from all life except maybe medical uses.

Single use plastic is the obvious

the problem unlike wood/paper products is that you cant take Oil out of the ground -> refine it into plastic -> turn it back into Oil -> put it back into the ground

that would be real recycling

instead you take oil out of the ground, make plastic, then rework the plastic while still taking more oil out of the ground

so the new plastic in the world is actually increasing with recycling

there was a guy at an event I went to about a large industrial recycling company that said this sentiment and they tried to silence him
