Awful list. Man, Pitchfork during the 2000s were the premier white indie taste testers. Brave and balsy with their recommendations. They couldn't write for shyt, but I had my musical awakening thanks to them. There was a time when they could make or break bands, but now they're jokes. I think Fantano has eclipsed their influence in the indie sphere. The internet and Condé Nast killed them.

P4k is now irrelevant, mainly because all their good writers got hired by Rollingstone, nme, etc
And yeah, Fantano been at the top now, you even see artists (SZA for example) admitting they're waiting for his reviews to improve their craft.

I don't think I even heard of Pitchfork like that until the 2010s. :picard:

Ironically the only album I heard from this list aint even rap, its the R&B album from Mos Defs daughter.

And it is dope.
