Being transgender has nothing to do with sexual orientation or HIV. There are gay trans people, and there are straight ones. It's purely a matter of gender identification.

As for your second scenario, it doesn't work that way. You're conflating the gender identification and the sexual orientation. Gays are going to risk disease by not using protection whether or not they are transgender. Also, I think you're mixing up the genders, too. If you are a gay trans man, that means you were born female, but you identify as a man... but are only attracted to other men.
