Coming up with a unique name is the hardest part of producing...for me. I do "Albums" so to speak where a set number of tracks all share a common theme, come up with a random name for that "album" then naming the tracks so that I can remember them takes me the longest. Sometimes...there will be a theme for all of the titles based on the "album" name, but other than that....it's a crapshoot. whatever words or phrases pop into my head at the time will end up being the name.

Anybody else have a similar experience?

I used to that alot when I first started but now when im making betas I just name em in batches that I do and I go usually by months. Lke Jan-Feb I named all the beats I made WinterFell 1 through however many. So, now, when I go back through my folder I can remember when I made em much easier, atleast for me. When I do send the beats out to artists or upload em to the net I do name em and thats just according to my vision for the track and to give the artist an idea. Most of the time the artists will use the title somewhere in the song or has the basis of the song.

Good sh*t! You are clearly on a higher level than I am. I see how your method is useful when sending out to artists. Me, my friends (reluctantly) and my couple hundred soundcloud followers are my only audience right now so I mainly name them just so I can remember what is what. definitely will take your approach if i ever blow up. THanks homie.

Yeah. I feel you. that's my main purpose in names too. i still have trouble but it definitely helps. Similar to your dilemma, i have a 30 track group of beats called "Disconnected" every song name is a word that starts with"dis". Seemed like a good idea at first but remembering which is which is damn near impossible. :pachaha:
