Physical or Digital - Which should i invest into..... a discussion.

Got over 300 Blu rays and now i wanna upgrade to 4k.

Thinking of selling some filler (and using the money on more movies lol)

But now im like ayo. Digital .... or stay physical?

Pros and cons, brehs, they both got em. I wanna get convinced.

Most 4k and Blus now have digital codes but..... i dunno. Digital should be like 8 dollars cheaper cuz for the same price you get a physical box n shyt. i dunno.

Yeah pretty much for those movies you likely won’t watch again or don’t impact you cause then it’s just wasted space

Everything is going digital soon so it makes sense if you want to just be "future proof" to an extent.
People that are really into preserving the audio and visual quality of movies will point out that 4K streaming isn't on par with physical media so if you want the best experience physical is still the way to go hands down.
Me personally, I've been on the fence more in recent years. I have an absurdly huge collection of movies and video games.
On one hand, I hate that they take up so much space, on the other hand, I have a few movies and games that aren't available through any retailers at all (physically or digitally).
I've been buying 4K blu rays left and right.
I have to start redeeming those digital copies though. I bet I have a bunch that have expired.

Neither of those options are investments. They're both depreciating assets, one arguably instantly.

300 blu-rays? Assuming they're on average 90 minute films, just watching them all just once more each would cost you almost 19 days of your life. You not got nothing better to do with your life, breh? We're only here once.

Physical for 4k. No compression on physical. I buy streaming 1080 stuff on Amazon in case I'm ever traveling and want to watch something specific
