:beli: Why he let dude come on his show in blackface? Then start projecting his on views onto other people. no, we all don't have personal prejudices towards people.

I don't know where or when but I remember seeing some old re-runs of his show on tv late one night. I thought it was someone doing a satire of a show from back in the day or something.

great movie, don cheadle played him http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0796368/

i know people bash howard here for being racist, but he grew up in a black neighborhood & the jokes were done with respect. there was no slick dissing or trying to act pc. on one of his last shows on regular radio, donnie simpson called in, they were buddies in the dc days. btw, howard was kinda horrible around this time, didn't really find his voice till he got to new york

Y'all ain't never seen Talk to Me with Don Cheadle, shyt was an underrated movie. But yea, Petey Greene influenced radio in general, he infuenced Howard Stern, even Starr owes him a debt because he was telling both Blacks and Whites about themselves with equal amounts venom, humor and heart. He deserves an Unsung.
