So many flawless tracks, so many incredible beats. And I love all of the sampled classic hip-hop quotables.

Pete may not be the best MC, but he didn't ruin any songs. And who cares when the beats are so ill and the guests are the best in the game?

"Half Man, Half Amazin" is one of my favorites. One of Meth's best performances (his voice just fits perfectly with the beat). I loved the Prodigy and Nas samples on the hook.

I remember hearing 'Tru Master' for the first time on a loud system just after it dropped and being :merchant::whoo::ooh:

Pulled out 'The Main Ingredient' again recently. Pete was whyling on that album too. I feel like it gets overlooked because there's not a 'T.R.O.Y' on it, but shyt's still dope.

I mean 'In The House' and 'Sun Won't Come Out' alone.

Lord.:wow:

This beat is incredible

And I love Pete's tribute to Rakim's "7 emcees" line from "My Melody"

stop it.

shyt was mediocre bar to bar and one of the problems of the producer.
trying to step out of his realm and not be nice as an emcee at all.

stop overrating this waste of time.
Just because it says pete rock almost eight years after the fact and is a cap at his former counter part during the time as well.
if there was any album.
to get THe DAna Owens in that era is the Pete rock album.

I will say this, the production was beautiful on that album and it's aged well. I think some of the heads were a little harsh on it because it didn't match the Iconic MATSB or the extreme polish of the Main ingredient and I can understand but I think it's still a very good album in it's own right.

nikka stop.
you just mad you overrated pete rock bar to bar.
that someone with a much higher grasp in every aspect of emcee'n and hiphop culture exposed your bullshyt.
while you playing favoritism.
just because you have a penchant for Pete rock as a producer. To giving him a pass and fake ass carryover into being a rapper.
when Pete rock is the epitome.
of the producer, who should never be on the mic.
you lamed out.
with this fake ass false narrative of my post.
plus Pete rock's trash review of his solo album dually.
notice you did not mention one iota of verbiage concerning high quality lyricism.
While giving pete rock as a vocal a pass.
just because he is pete rock the producer.

Plus you know no references to a cot damn thing in hiphop history. As Dana Owens or getting the dana Owens.
is a reference to tossing garbage cds out like latifah in character did in set it off.

so you exposed you don't even know common references culturally to even really comment.

now move around and stop over rating garbage rappers, who are not skilled emcees frfr.

just because you like them on the boards.
