I figured this news is too serious for the locker room and not quite film room material but important enough to post in HL.
RIP Leandro.

The so-called “Percocet Princess” drug dealer busted in connection to the suspected overdose death of Robert de Niro’s grandson has allegedly sold pills to children as young as 15, police said Friday.

Sophia Haley Marks, 20 — who allegedly sold to 19-year-old Leandro De Niro Rodriguez before he was found dead in his Financial District apartment on July 2 — is notorious for her crop of under-aged clients, a police source said.

“She sells to kids. She is well known in the drug dealing world,’” the source said, adding she has sold to kids who are barely high school-aged.
“The feds got involved. They had another buy last night. So they were like, ‘Scoop her up now,” the source said.
Marks was arrested in an undercover sting operation conducted by the NYPD, Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security at around 6 p.m. Thursday, law enforcement sources said.

She was charged federally with the distribution of narcotics, and was expected to appear in Manhattan federal court Friday afternoon.

Inherently understand drugs and money, and the hustle, but these kids, from San Diego to NY, and all over, are knowingly using and selling fentanyl and posting on Tik Tok, memes and shyt, it's just wild to me. Understand that not everyone or anyone follows any of this, but to not KNOW that the feds, who have been really clear on this, will prosecute an overdose death, to the fullest extent.

yet, they still text and use the apps, and just chill while selling fentanyl. Two of her friends OD and she just tells the UC, like be careful.

and the flow all comes from Culiacan, Sinaloa, and Chapo Guzman's sons.

It’s so fukked up how they act like drug dealers are pushing these pills down people’s throats or giving them these shyts for free. People are knowingly fukking around with shyt that can kill them. If it’s not weed leave that shyt be
For real. That Percocet high is a problem. It makes you feel too good. You just want more and risk addiction.

I had surgery in high school, and I got percs afterward. I legit needed them. One day I took double the recommended dose. shyt was amazing. I fukked around with pain killers in high school and as an undergrad. I almost got addicted for real. I had to put them down. I haven’t touched one in like 15 years.

I had several friends who got addicted, couldn’t get any more pills because they got real expensive, and moved to heroin. Then that led to credit card fraud and then jail time. It was sad so see.

Opiates are just too good of a high. You roll the dice when you take them and you don’t know if you’ll like them too much. High chance for addiction, even for the strongest willed.

The standard, that the federal prosecutors try to hit, is the dealer/distributor KNEW the risks, and sold it anyway. They clearly show that here. She had two recent customers/friends die and kept selling and assumedly using.

That's why they did multiple buys with a UC and not just the one od death

but there is a pushback about some of these prosecutions, and does it really deter people? and is it justice, or the kind "we" want to enforce?
