people who live on their own how often do you visit your parents place or see them?

i try to at least once a month. im 28 and grown and feel i should see them more but i got my own shyt going on and am busy during the week so its not like im gonna over their spot all the time.

I live out of state. So, it can be from 4-6 months. I was back home for Mothers Day and will not be back until Thanksgiving. So, that's about 6 months.

they live clear across town, so once or twice a month. they nag me telling me it should be more, and i hit them with the . they always want me to drive to their crib. they have 3 cars. get in one of them and drive out to see me for a change....

Every other weekend, my step-mom is alone now so I go up to tend the house and chill w/ her.

Its a 2 hr drive for me, which is nothing really, so it depends on how I'm feeling. Sometimes its 2 a month, some 1, some none. I've gone a few months without going back home. I was just recently there for a week straight helping my dad recover from heart surgery. Probably wont be going back till Thanksgiving.

i'd rather they visit me to be honest. i can't afford to spend a bunch of money on plane tickets just to be around a bunch of people who still think they can tell me what to do with my life.
last time i saw my mom she tried to challenge my authority with my daughter. (she's only 9 months) but forreal just accept your role as grandparents and fall back. otherwise i won't be seeing you that often.

I haven't seen them in a year since I moved to NY.

When I lived in Pittsburgh, I saw them twice a week. I would go over to her house and then help them with errands. What can I say? I love my family.
