idk my teacher never once talked about formatting and its a fukkin writing class, not even in the syllabus

i think you'd be good if you just wrote the name of the work and the author in the sentence and made it coherent. that way you don't have to worry about referencing it or any type of format.

You probably should. I don't know how stiff your professor is about references, but to be safe why don't you just quote it? For example,

In Huxley's, A Brave New World," ................................
....................................................................................."(277).

Yes. In fact, if you're ever in doubt, reference it. Just to be safe. If you gleam something that's not common knowledge from another source in order to support your paper, then you should definitely cite.

thanks for the help yall, i just used standard mla formatting, i also emailed my teacher but i did it anyway just in case
