If you go to a concert nowadays or watch one on TV, all you see are people in the crowd holding up their camera phones the whole time. :snoop:

As opposed to 10 years ago where people would actually....sit/stand and watch, sing along, etc....you know taking in the EXPERIENCE of being there. Maybe hold up a lighter at times. But that was about it.

And be for real, more than likely, you're NEVER gonna watch the shaky, terrible sound footage you filmed on your phone.

I don't go to concerts often, but the last 4 or 5 shows I went to see (all in NYC bars/clubs), nobody was out with their cameras.

Well, not NOBODY.
There were some people. But it wasn't anything like you see at these big shows at MSG and stuff.

It could just be the kind of crowd you are around.

I DO think it's really lame for people to pull out their camera and record/snap shots for the entire show.
Live in the moment, man.

A few shots is okay. But take it easy.

cooler, more 'magical' stuff happened back in the day as opposed to now. :manny:

Only time I break mine out at a show is if I get a pic w/ the artist. :manny: I'd rather be distraction free.

I think it happens more at big events with huge artists like Jay-Z or someone you might never see again like Prince.
I doubt it happens if you're at some lounge with like 200 people.

that's the funnies thing about it. you might look at the footage once on the ride home and/or send it to a friend, otherwise that shyt never gets replayed. today's generation is full of sheep, one person pulls out their phone, everybody got to do it.
