I'm not understanding people's point in complaining here. The number one complaint I'm reading is that "the design didn't change," and people will switch to the HTC One because of that.
Look at the One compared to the One X and One X+ above. People are complaining about no design change, yet want to switch to a phone that had little design change. Sounds legit. The fact is, phones are at a design plateau. There is only so many ways you can design a rectangular device.
Just the fact that people are saying they want to switch to a device that has a small, non-removalable battery and no expandable storage is ridiculous. These are the same people that got on Apple for not having those exact things.
You also hear complaints about the phone itself being a minor upgrade? How so? I don't think you can call any of these features minor:
-8 core, Exynos 5410 processor (4 of the cores are dedicated strictly to reducing energy consumption)
- 1080p, 441 ppi, 5" Super AMOLED display
- Touchscreen that works while wearing gloves
- IR sensor
- Qi wireless charging
I don't see how anybody can claim those upgrades are "minor" or "gimmicks." Seems, just like Apple, that Samsung has reached a point where no matter what they do people will be bitter and hate on them for any minute reason.
