Peaceful protests.

Government allowed peaceful protests will never work and there seems a lot of black Americans. don't seem to realise this and think state allowed protests can work.

The state allows these types of protests because they are innefective and let people think they are making a difference. They don't make life difficult for the establishment and oppressors which means they can be ignored without consequences.

Only disruptive protests that make life difficult for the oppressors can work because by making they're lives difficult and harming their communities you'll make them listen to you.

I am an Irishman living in Scotland so these are the thoughts of an outsider looking in.

Here's the thing you don't understand about the seedy underbelly of American politics

Those "peaceful protest" are all nonsense. People do organize and get the word out. It's dirty teenagers calling their address books to go fill up a park. The Constitution gives us a right to assemble, so highschoolers and 20-somethings think that means lets get our signs and put "OCCUPY" on it and go downtown. Then the cops pepperspray you.

But let's say you're a concerned mom who wants to stop violent television. You call your congressmen, he doesn't give a shyt. So you use your constitutional right to assemble to call your phone tree of soccer moms and say "Becky I'm starting a petition" and now your congressmen has to give a shyt because there's 500 pissed off moms.

Now that's the go between, in the middle of stupid kids and slightly less stupid mothers. But here's where it gets fukked up

Let's say instead of a pissed off soccer mom, you have a cool headed businessman. And he decides to call his phone tree of friends. Instead of teenagers or mothers. Now you have a conference room of suits all running different corporations, but they're under the label of "Freedom For America PAC" or "Organization for Traditional Values" and they pool their hundreds of millions of dollars. And they buy out the politicians, and they fukkin' murk us from the inside out using our own rules.

And then one day, the stupid teenagers in the parks finally become the yuppies in the suits, and the whole shebang starts over again.
