PC gaming from the couch

Anyone else got their PC hooked up to their TV in the livingroom? When I originally decided to build a PC, it was going to be for media only. When I saw how much cheaper it was to game on PC, I said fukk it and made it my gaming rig as well.

I get by just fine using my Xbox controller for most games, but that shyt doesn't fly with games that are best played with a KB and Mouse (FPS's).

Anyone else run into this problem are do you mainly play at a desk?

I think most of us do breh, at least our PC gamers here. Playing everything at real 1080p, not that upscaler console shyt. nikka, tomorrow 2K13 is going to be on the big screen. Sleeping Dogs and Borderlands 2 is already piff.

its real hard to go back from PC to console though, had to throw those ps3 games in the bushes

keyboard on my lap, with the mouse on the couch besides me. I got the mouse on a mouse pad with a hardcover book under it. it's kinda awkward, but I got used to it. the thing that sucks is the mouse isn't on a level surface, so whenever I take my hand off it, it slides towards me

beside the lack of voice chat, PC gaming is goat. im just waiting for a steam to release a device where you can stream your game from your pc to your TV. my gaming rig is never going to leave the desk.

you can actually get wireless hdmi

but they're kinda pricey, and I prefer everything 'wired' for gaming

yeah voice chat, all that shyt only work if your peeps are online

whats great about console, is that you can just log in, get in a random match, talk to some random players, and talk shyt to some random cats, meet new people and make friends. (CAUSE BY DEFAULT EVERBODY IS ON THE SAME CHAT "CHANNEL")

with some pc game, its quiet as a mouse, no random people to talk to. if you join a random match with out knowing any one in the servers.

and like i said im not hauling my rig next to my tv.

not when everyone's in 'party chat'

anyway plenty of pc games have their own ingame chat. also many servers list their official teamspeak server

and just like consoles, you end up having to mute a bunch of people that just want to be annoying
