PBC Ratings on NBC
Thurman-Guerrero: March 7th 3.28M viewers
Garcia-Peterson: April 11th 2.9M viewers
Dirrell-DeGale: May 23rd 1.41M viewers (via Sports Business Journal) (note: afternoon start on network)
Porter-Broner: June 20th, 2.38M viewers
Per TV By Numbers, it came second in its time slot to CBS’ NCIS New Orleans in terms of overall viewers in the adult 18-49 demo as it drew 3.43M viewers. Also, PBC tied ABC’s offering of “In an Instant,” with 2.38M viewers. Notably, US Open golf coverage on Fox aired from 8-10pm ET overlapping with PBC and drew 4.12M viewers.
Payout Perspective:
Cincinnati is the hometown for Broner so it makes sense that it would be the top market for Saturday night’s event. With another event on CBS Sunday, PBC is starting to show a little wear with all of its events as the viewership numbers are down from its initial huge opening. Still, the fact is that boxing ratings are still strong overall. MMA Payout will keep you posted.
