You need to make friends with ppl that have connections in Media and music.

blog writers, promoters, publicists, ect.

Then again most people out here trying to make music are trash so It might not even matter.

yes, you need to go to some blogs like "Vlad tv", "World star", IndieHipHop" etc and ask how much they'll promote your song on their main page, at the same time get with your radio station, see if you can work out a deal, pass out mad flyers if you really believe in yourself, it's no secret, just go out and do it

Imo no need to pay for promo when you dont make big money of your music , just make original music and cats will listen to your shyt if they like what they ear , try to be nice with other poeple to can make the difference ..
