Now I was reading this today and had an :ohhh: moment

And Republicans are dead wrong.

The latest devastating demonstration of that wrongness comes from the International Monetary Fund, which has just released its World Economic Outlook, a report combining short-term prediction with insightful economic analysis. This report is a grim and disturbing document, telling us that the world economy is doing significantly worse than expected, with rising risks of global recession. But the report isn’t just downbeat; it contains a careful analysis of the reasons things are going so badly. And what this analysis concludes is that a disproportionate share of the bad news is coming from countries pursuing the kind of austerity policies Republicans want to impose on America.

O.K., it doesn’t say that in so many words. What the report actually says is: “Activity over the past few years has disappointed more in economies with more aggressive fiscal consolidation plans.” But that amounts to the same thing.

the american people are now pushing for to be hit with the same policies the IMF/World BANK imposes on developing countries..
what is really funny is that they vote for these policies on their own, due to ideology

they have believed their own bullshyt..

neo-liberalism is for imposing on your empire and is for thirld world countries so that you can steal their wealth

Obama is the band aid but Money Mitt is gonna be what breaks the camels back

I wouldn't have imagined years ago that the bad medicine the IMF/World bank forces on poor countries in the third world would be forced on Europe.
and even more amazing a large part of the american population deluded angry whites would have a movement calling for the same policies to be done to them.

Wow when did republicans say spending cuts grow the economy? Spending cuts are necessary to keep a country solvent. There are plenty of other factors that decide economic growth such as what each countries current tax policy is, are they importers or exporters, what were the size of the cuts, what is going on with their monetary system or the value of their money?

what a mish mosh of an article with no details what so ever and falsly attributing spending cuts as the main growth policy for Republicans.

Dude was wrong in saying spending cuts are the Repubs ticket to job growth

But on the flip side... how do you think our economy will respond... to cutting damn near 10% of GDP overnight... w/no plans for stimulating private sector growth. Republicans only have half the solution down. OK, we get rid of govt. Now what. How do we move forward? They have no idea.

MFers love to hide behind rhetoric... "we need to fellate the job creators" "we need to slash every govt program but corporate subsidies and the military" "we need to cut taxes even further below record lows"... I dont agree w/Obamanomics, but the solutions & resume of the Republicans over the last 5 years is even worse.... you have to be a real idiot to think they will be our ticket back to prosperity
