Breaking Bad and
Better Call Saul alum
Giancarlo Esposito is diving back into the criminal underworld in his new
AMC series
Parish — and this time, he’s in the driver’s seat.
AMC has released a new teaser trailer for the six-episode series, which is set to premiere this March on AMC and its streaming service AMC+. In the teaser — which you can watch above — Esposito plays a man behind a wheel of a car who’s being pushed to the brink. We see a montage of him racing through some seedy city streets, while his character, Gracián “Gray” Parish, recites a prayer.
Parish is “a family man and proud owner of a luxury car service in New Orleans,” per the official description. “After his son is violently murdered and his business collapses, an encounter with an old friend from his days as a wheelman resurfaces old habits, sending Gray on a high-stakes collision course with a violent criminal syndicate.”
Parish, formerly titled
The Driver,
earned a series order from AMC in March 2022. Along with Esposito, the cast includes Bradley Whitford (
The Handmaid’s Tale), Skeet Ulrich (
Riverdale), Zackary Momoh (
The Nevers, Seven Seconds), Paula Malcomson (
Ray Donovan), Bonnie Mbuli (
Invictus), Ivan Mbakop (
Hawkeye), Arica Himmel (
mixed-ish) and Dax Rey (
The Good Fight).
