Let's say there are parallel versions of you out there somewhere in some alternative universe. fukk how it happened. Let's just say it did.

If you could glimpse through dimensions and see other versions of yourself, would it hurt you, or scar you emotionally to see yourself in a fukked up, destitute situation? Let's say in that alternative universe things didn't fall the right way for you. One of your parents got hooked on drugs. Or you ended up getting caught for the thing or things you got away with in this reality and ended up in prison.

If you saw yourself homeless in the streets smoking crack, or rotting away in prison or something like that, how would it affect you knowing there's another you out there suffering horribly?

It would be you, but then again, it's not you. The person would share your DNA and many of your experiences, but they're not you because your life still exists here regardless of them. So why then would the pain of bizarro-world you have more of an effect on you than the pain of any other random person in the same situation?

I figure you'd need to put things in context, as fukked up as it is to see yourself assed out in a parallel universe there's just as much chance another parallel universe has a version of me that's profoundly successful in life. And with that altered personal life also brings altered surroundings. It's too much to factor in.

Yeah, there could be versions of you in a happier place than here as well. But I'm just asking how the assed out version of you would affect you if you could get a glimpse of him.

Not just you. What about your loved ones doing much worse as well. What if you saw that there was a version of yourself where your mom was a dopefiend sucking dikks in alleys and you were in prison.

Or what if you saw a version of you with Lou Gehrig's disease in your mom's backroom drooling looking like Stephen Hawking.

How would you carry that knowing that this version of you is out existing and there's nothing you could do about it, and how much more would it bother you than the millions of other people suffering?

It'd bother me a lot, but if happened to stumble on the ability to travel to alternate worlds like this then context is really important and it'd be better of me to live my life to the fullest for myself and that alternate version of me that's fukked up. Maybe by this chance encounter, the me in this universe ends up much better off setting off chain reactions through all the other alternate dimensions which spur so much positive improvement that I become a spoiled rich fukk that ends up falling into the same downward spiral of drugs and crime that created this whole wave in the first place.

Does that mean it's full circle or just constantly evolving according to different manipulations in it's linear flow. I dunno if I'm even making sense right now, I'm high as hell tryna conceptualize all this. :whew:

yo id become jet li in The One.

generally speaking, the only person id murk is myself, but id never commit dat :yayo:

plus, if i was to ever encounter myself in person, knowing myself, i wouldnt trust him, so id expect an immediate battle to death/near death.

even if i had a gun to his/my head and he rose good points saying we could make each others lives easier etc, id still murk him on suspicion of being some sort of alien or demon or shape-shifter or some random crazy shyt havent heard of yet.

and if we somehow got past that, got dna tested and was identical, i/we would probably turn the world upside down with misinformation and theories explaining our existences until one or both of which was annhilated and erased from the timeline and collective memory.

off tangent and on subject, if i was just in 'spectator mode' watching another 'me', it literally wouldn't make a difference to me at all, because id know even though it is me, it's not me, and might as well be another stranger on the grind. the biggest difference it would make is in my philosophical and theoretical physics pursuits and overall existentialist mind-state. it'd be a big piece of evidence, imo.

but what about your life, would you see patterns in your life that effect you regardless of interdimentional travel. like certain attitudes, or decisions that would take you 2 fukked up places

well, logically speaking, after realizing that interdimensional travel is possible and is happening, you would never know which patterns in your life happen regardless of that phenomenon, unless you were granted full disclosure on all interdimensional activity and could carefully examine when it did and didn't play a role. plus you have butterfly effect to deal with. basically too many new variables would be introduced to the formula of my life for me to look too deeply into anything on a personal level. i would use it more for hypotheticals/theories/conversation fodder/etc.

basically there would be little to no difference to me on a personal level, even in comparison to any other elaborate day dream where i picture myself doing something
