Was 10 when I first saw this. The scene where the police beat Huey Newton while he's in intensive care had me fukkED ALL THE WAY up like seriously I think that movie and Sankofa made me have a lifelong resentment for Cacs....

Not me, I love this movie and it needs to be seen by everyone especially during this time. Last time i checked it was on Amazon for like $200.

This was an underrated movie and I've enjoyed it every time I've watched it. It may have been dramatized but it still hit close to home cause you know a lot of this shyt happened and these guys fought for our rights. Some of them even died for what they believed in too. This is one movie or just another Panther movie in general that I wouldn't mind seeing being made over.

Should've been directed by Spike. Van Peebles didn't give the Panthers story the reverence it deserved. Movie should've been an epic like Malcolm X.
