Meanwhile, American & Puerto Rican players have to wait until they’re 18 to sign. :beli:

Another reason is why baseball is dying in this (& PR) country.

Completely unfair

Nice story.

There’s a ton of development that needs to happen for him before he matters as a real prospect. It’s gonna take more than a few good games at Low A ball to get a true hype train going.

Another irrelevant post when the point was American in Puerto Rican players don’t have that same opportunity at age 16.

Is this the part where you make another irrelevant point that doesn’t deconstruct the above sentence?

American players aren’t as good at 16 so it doesn’t even matter.

Also worth noting that American players can enter the draft at 17, not 18, provided they're out of school so you're bytching about nothing.

They would be if they knew they could be signed at $5 million deals at age 16.

You would see the parental investment made.

You really think you proved something looking at the end result of American baseball without the why, dont you?

You stay being a shyt poster

you know it's wild when American born players move to DR to avoid being subjected to the draft.
Crazy.

Folks like @Remote have no clue how American rules hurt the game but want to blame the end result on the players and not the system.

You think kids need a $500 bat to play baseball.
I don't think you're really in any position to question my knowledge of the game.

In this instance you are failing to take the next step in the thought process before posting what you think is a good point.

If it was possible for 16 year olds to go pro here in any particular sport you would see better players earlier as the entire development system would change to support it.
